Atkinson gets $7M freeway fix project
SHORELINE — The Washington State Department of Transportation last week selected Guy F. Atkinson Construction to replace about 1,000 concrete panels and smooth the roadway on northbound Interstate 405 through Bellevue and both directions of state Route 518 near Sea-Tac Airport.
“These highways carry thousands of drivers each day, and the concrete roadway surface has simply worn out,” said WSDOT project engineer Janice Fahning in a statement. “This spring we'll begin work to repair three miles of cracked and rutted roadway.”
