Agriculture safety event is March 6
WENATCHEE — Agriculture ranks among the U.S.'s most hazardous industries. The state recorded 78 industry-related fatalities from 1998 to 2008, according to the Department of Labor and Industries.
L&I is sponsoring an event next month, Agriculture Safety Day, with workshops covering topics such as fatality trends, pesticide safety, and language and cultural barriers. There will also be an exhibit hall with educational booths, product displays and demonstrations.
