$550M UW-to-Maple Leaf contract will be Sound Transit's biggest yet

The rail line will be in a tunnel from the University District to the Maple Leaf Portal, where it will switch to a retain/cut fill and elevated section.

Sound Transit is seeking bids for the biggest construction contract in its history: a 3.6-mile tunnel from the University of Washington to the Maple Leaf neighborhood.
