FAA OKs expansion of Pangborn Field

EAST WENATCHEE (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration has approved a $30 million project to lengthen the runway at Pangborn Memorial Airport in East Wenatchee.

The Wenatchee World reports (http://bit.ly/12aYavm ) federal financing will pay up to $27 million and the rest will come from the ports of Chelan and Douglas counties, which jointly own the airport.
