WSDOT may drop white women from some DBE contract incentives

(Editor’s note: The story has been changed to clarify that the changes WSDOT proposes are based on the results of a recent study.)

The state says companies owned by white women are doing so well that they no longer need some of the incentives that go to disadvantaged business enterprises on federally backed transportation projects.
