Pierce County bidding 2nd Puyallup side channel

Ceccanti Inc. last year built this 2,000-foot side channel on the Puyallup River.

Pierce County on June 13 will open bids for phase 2A of the South Fork Road floodplain restoration project. The work will build a 1,200-foot side channel that reconnects the Puyallup River floodplain, which will reduce flooding and provide salmon habitat.
