‘Beam me up, Scotty!' says OHSU president after seeing new building

    The 12-story north tower and five-story south wing are connected by a glass atrium. The space is designed to encourage students to mingle and train together, with suspended walkways and a student lounge overlooking the river.

    PORTLAND — The largest academic building in Oregon opened Thursday with Dr. Joe Robertson, the president of Oregon Health & Science University, telling the assembled crowd to look above at the gleaming, modern structure and out toward the new car-free, cable-stayed bridge crossing the Willamette River.
