SRM appeals fine for worker's death

SPOKANE — SRM Development has filed an appeal of an $85,800 fine levied by the state Department of Labor & Industries for the death of a worker last January at a construction site in downtown Seattle.

A statement from the Spokane-based company said it disagrees with the state's findings and is also appealing a second $85,800 fine on its general contracting company called RDMDMDSRM LLC.
