$25,000 fix for ‘melting' highway

GOLD BAR — US 2 in Gold Bar is getting some emergency work to fix areas of pavement that have failed and resurface about 100 feet of the westbound lane.

WSDOT said in a press release that over the past two summers chip seal was used to temporarily fix ruts between Monroe and Gold Bar.
