Magnolia school to reopen if levy passes

SEATTLE — Seattle Public Schools wants to reopen Magnolia Elementary and four other schools if the $475.3 million BTA IV levy passes Feb. 9.

The 49,900-square-foot Magnolia Elementary at 2418 28th Ave. W. has been vacant since 2002, according to a document submitted to the city's Landmarks Preservation Board. It was built in 1927 and additions were made in 1931, 1941 and 1969.
