Noren Development plans to start construction this fall on a 20-unit housing project at 11202 Roosevelt Way N.E. in Seattle's Northgate neighborhood.

Construction is slated to be done in winter 2017, according to a press release from the architect, NK Architects.

The complex will be constructed to Built Green 4-star standards.

The 3-bedroom units will be for sale. Seven will be live/work with 1,950 to 2,050 square feet, including 430 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Thirteen will be townhouses with 1,425 to 1,650 square feet.

Private rooftop terraces and a landscaped interior courtyard with seating are planned.

NK said the 18 parking stalls will be inside an enclosed podium, with four townhouses on top. The podium will eliminate the need for costly excavation to create the parking. Residents will be able to walk to the parking from the courtyard or drive there from an alley.

The team also includes Malsam Tsang Structural Engineering; The Blueline Group, civil engineering; and Root of Design, landscape architecture.

Noren Development is a Seattle-based development and general contracting firm that focuses on mid-rise and multi-family housing.

Noren said prices won't be set until the project gets closer to breaking ground.
