Ted Herb was promoted to president and Mark Kane to chief operating officer at GLY Construction in Bellevue.
The company also announced that Bryan Haakenson and Tim Campbell have become owners and are now principals.
Both Herb and Kane were executive vice presidents.
Herb has been with GLY for 29 years, beginning as a project engineer and rising to executive vice president of operations, where he played a major role in elevating safety.
“This is a thoughtful transition, one we've carefully planned over several years,” said CEO Jim Karambelas in a news release. “It's extremely important to us to honor and preserve the legacy of the great builders and leaders who have guided the firm's evolution since it first took root in Pacific Northwest soil almost 50 years ago.”
The COO position that Kane filled is new to GLY. The company said the role “elevates the importance the firm places on creating effective preconstruction teams and organizing projects for success.”
Kane is also in charge of estimating.
Haakenson joined the firm in 2000. He leads projects that have sensitive environments, such as schools and senior residences that are occupied during construction.
Campbell has been with GLY since 2004. He is overseeing the hotel and residential portion of the Lincoln Square expansion in downtown Bellevue.
Steve Peterson remains as chief financial officer.
GLY had $569 million in revenues last year and employs nearly 600 workers, including 400 in the field.
