Residence Inn tops out near WSCC; 1,471 hotel rooms will open this year

The 302-room hotel is one of the largest in the pipeline for Seattle.

Mortenson Construction earlier this week topped out the 15-story Residence Inn by Marriott hotel in the Denny Triangle neighborhood at 924 Howell St., adjacent to the area where Washington State Convention Center plans a $1.6 billion expansion.
