1907 church is coming down at 14th & Spring

  • Salvage crews from Earthwise removed stained glass windows and other valuable materials.

    Demolition is proceeding as expected on an old church at 1103 14th Ave., and plans have been filed for a lot boundary adjustment to the property.

    The church is variously known as Seattle Word of God Church and Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. It was built in 1907 and damaged by the 2001 Nisqually earthquake.
