Seattle roads to get seal coats

SEATTLE — The Seattle Department of Transportation will start microsurfacing roads next week in three neighborhoods — if it doesn't rain.

SDOT contractors will apply a seal coat to 30 lane miles of non-arterial streets as part of a preventative maintenance program. The process renews the road surface and seals minor cracks and other irregularities.
