$12M upgrade for Salish Lodge & Spa

Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie is renovating all 84 guest rooms as part of a $12 million project.

The work also will involve updating the corridors, spa and ladies' locker room, which will be expanded.

The first phase is slated to finish in January. Updates to the guest rooms are expected to be ready by late spring 2018.

Zena Design Group redesigned the rooms to have a contemporary Pacific Northwest look by using warm woods and organic fabrics. Guest rooms will have gas fireplaces, and bathrooms with soaking tubs or large showers with dual shower heads. (Bathrooms in the suites will have both.)

Corridors will get new carpet and paint.

Absher Construction Co. is the general contractor.

The renovation is the largest the luxury property has undergone since 1988.

Salish Lodge & Spa first opened in 1916 as Snoqualmie Falls Lodge. The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe acquired the property in 2007.

Columbia Hospitality is the property manager.
