Lakeside files for new asphalt plant

ISSAQUAH — Lakeside Industries on Tuesday filed an application with King County to relocate its Covington asphalt plant to an industrial site off state Route 169 between Renton and Maple Valley.

The new plant will have a stormwater treatment system that uses catch basins and swales, coalescing plate oil/water separators, an underground pre-settling vault, a large sand filter and an infiltration gallery.
