Workers from TLH Abatement have stripped the membrane from 13 roof bays that sit between the Kingdome's 40 concrete ribs.

The material is being removed so that the roof's concrete can be recycled when it is imploded along with the rest of the Dome. Controlled Demolition of Phoenix, Md., will implode the Dome on a Sunday in late March or early April.

Aman Environmental Construction of Covina, Calif., is the project's primary demolition contractor. The cost to demolish the Dome has been estimated at $9 million.
