The Associated General Contractors of Washington Friday night honored its members for being safe and building outstanding projects.

The Grand Award for construction went to Charter Construction for the Paradise employee dormitory project at Mount Rainier National Park. Other construction excellence awards were given to: Tri-State Construction for improvements to state Route 202 near Ames Lake Road; J.R. Abbott Construction for the Roosevelt Square redevelopment in Seattle; and Turner Construction for renovation of the Rosen Building in Seattle.

The top safety award went to GLY Construction.
Awards for most improved safety programs went to BFC Frontier, GLY Construction and Totem Electric. Awards for outstanding safety programs went to BFC Frontier, Deeny Construction, DPR Construction, GLY Construction, Tri-State Construction, McClone Construction and Ceco Concrete Construction. Recognition awards were given to M.A. Mortenson for community involvement and Turner Construction for diversity development.
