Recycling law gets a boost from state

By JOURNAL STAFF

OLYMPIA — The state Department of Ecology has just adopted a new rule that will help implement the state's new electronics recycling law, which the state Legislature passed in March.

Under this law, all manufacturers of electronics products who do business in Washington state must provide consumers with free recycling services by Jan. 1, 2009.
