$81M plan would help state's farms, forests

    OLYMPIA — Gov. Chris Gregoire traveled to an Eastern Washington winery Wednesday to unveil an $81 million budget package to help protect and expand the state's farm and forest economy.

    Some unhappy Republican legislators said the Democratic governor should have traveled to a real farm and offered real solutions instead of “wrapping failed policies in shiny wrapping paper and glitzy sound bites.”
