City unveils $240M plan to get Seattle onto bikes

Sharrows, painted marks that designate areas where bikes may travel on roadways, will be added to 53 miles of city streets.

The Seattle Bicycle Master Plan was unveiled yesterday by Mayor Greg Nickels. The 10-year plan would cost $240 million and develop 452 miles of bike routes in three phases.
