Towers can stay on Rattlesnake Mt.

RICHLAND (AP) — The U.S. Department of Energy says a dozen agencies that operate communication towers on a mountain at the Hanford nuclear reservation will not be evicted soon.

The department had notified the agencies in March that they would have to remove structures from Rattlesnake Mountain northwest of Richland. The department is phasing out any uses not consistent with natural preservation of the mountain.
