PUD gets license for Columbia River dams

Grant County Public Utility District recently received a new 44-year federal license to operate Priest Rapids and Wanapum (pictured) dams from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Grant PUD says it produces nearly 25 percent of the non-federal hydropower in Washington state.
