Pilot program helps cutting-edge green projects

    One of the three projects in Seattle’s Priority Green pilot program is the Melrose Square development on Capitol Hill. The building’s roof will be used for urban agriculture.

    In Seattle, it's fairly easy to reach for goals like LEED but trying out cutting-edge green ideas can be tough due to time, code or cost constraints. To help projects pursue innovative systems, the Department of Planning and Development is launching a pilot program called Priority Green to give those projects extra attention.
