Sammamish town plan: from chicken coops to mixed-use

About 600,000 square feet of commercial space and 2,000 units of new housing would be spread over 240 acres. The plan calls for greater height and density in the center, tapering off as the new development meets existing neighborhoods.

The city of Sammamish is figuring out ways to turn a 20-year master plan for a new 240-acre town center into reality.
