Growth board upholds Bothell's new rules on low-impact development

Low impact development won a battle in Bothell after an appeal of regulations the city adopted last March was dismissed. But the appeal wasn't an effort to block the LID requirements. Instead, appellants said the city did not go far enough to protect the land and required too much density.

Last March, the city of Bothell adopted an ordinance requiring the use of low impact development techniques in an area known as the Fitzgerald/35th Avenue Southeast Subarea in Northeast Bothell.
