Green home builders share their strategies for survival

These Noland Homes townhouses are for sale in the Issaquah Highlands. Jim Noland said the market is tougher than it has ever been but “I want to make it through and I want to keep building green.”

Jim Noland of Noland Homes echoes most builders' sentiments when he says, “it's a terrible time to be a builder.” But despite dropping home prices, scared buyers and no financing, he says he is not ready to give up building green.
