Free talk Sunday on passive houses

SEATTLE — On Sunday, members of the Passive House Institute U.S. will discuss passive houses, a cost-effective system for designing and constructing very low-energy buildings.

The system is rooted in work on superinsulated structures in North America in the 1970s but was developed in Europe.
