$215K for cleanup at Chubby & Tubby

SEATTLE — Environmental cleanup is under way at the site of the former Chubby & Tubby store in Rainier Valley, due in part to a $215,000 stimulus grant.

The state Department of Commerce awarded the grant to SouthEast Effective Development for environmental remediation. SEED estimates the overall project will support 10 cleanup jobs, 80 construction jobs and seven permanent jobs.
