City planning director wants to push green

Marshall Foster, Seattle's new planning director, said the city doesn't go far enough in promoting sustainable buildings.

In a recent interview, he said the Department of Planning and Development will recommend to Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn and the City Council land use code incentives that would encourage a higher level of green construction.
