Highway 2 will be the first 'e-highway'

OLYMPIA — Yesterday, the state departments of Commerce and Transportation announced plans to make the Stevens Pass Greenway the first electric vehicle-friendly National Scenic Byway route.

With stimulus funding through the State Energy Program, the state will install two to three electric vehicle fast charging stations along U.S. Highway 2.
