Bellingham group sues over terminal

BELLINGHAM (AP) — An environmental group opposed to a proposed coal-export terminal near Bellingham is suing the shipping terminal operator seeking to build the project.

RE Sources for Sustainable Communities charges in its lawsuit that a subsidiary of Seattle-based SSA Marine violated clean-water laws when it cleared trees and graded the terminal site without a permit last summer.
