UBC's new living building is built with beetle-killed wood

The University of British Columbia’s $37 million Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability is one of a handful of projects worldwide designed to meet the Living Building Challenge.

The University of British Columbia's $37 million living building is in a year-long test phase. It is called the Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability and opened last fall.
