Longer lifespan for Mont. silver mine

KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — An official with Revett Minerals Inc. says the Troy Mine in western Montana has enough copper and silver to keep the site producing for at least seven years and maybe longer.

Company President John Shanahan tells the Flathead Beacon that higher mineral prices have made it profitable to mine abundant lower grade ore.
