Astoria hopes to dodge Superfund

ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) — Astoria officials are pushing back against the designation of a local polluted property as a Superfund site.

The Clatsop County Board of Commissioners fears a Superfund designation by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency would mean a regulatory burden.
