EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Neighbors of a proposed golf course for the University of Oregon are challenging a county permit for the project, concerned that turf chemicals and water use could harm the surrounding area.
Backers of the course need a planning department permit before they begin raising money for the golf course, estimated to cost up to $30 million.
