TACOMA (AP) — The oil boom in the Great Plains states is affecting refineries and a port in Washington.
The News Tribune reports trains from North Dakota and Montana are delivering crude oil to the U.S. Oil and Refining Company refinery in Tacoma and the Tesoro refinery near Anacortes. BP has applied for permits for a rail yard at its Cherry Point refinery north of Bellingham.
