SEATTLE — A panel of local leaders will cover the economics of outdoor recreation at Friday's meeting of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber cites a report by the Outdoor Industry Association that says Washington state has more than 226,000 direct jobs related to outdoor recreation, the sixth highest nationally. Also, consumers here spend more than $22.5 billion on gear, vehicles, trips and travel-related expenses.
