PGE to build $300M power plant in Ore.
CLATSKANIE, Ore. (AP) — Portland General Electric plans to start construction next month on a third natural gas-fueled power plant at Port Westward along the Columbia River near Clatskanie.
Unlike the first two plants, The Daily News reports this one will operate only during times of peak electricity demand.
