Thinking of switching to geothermal? Start with some research

  • One Juneau couple replaced their old boiler with a geothermal system but they say the learning curve is pretty steep.

    JUNEAU, Alaska — Julie Bednarski and John Kajdan had an old boiler and needed to replace it so they went to the Juneau Home Show in 2012 to look for some leads and learned about upgrading their system to geothermal.

    Then they started compiling quotes and references for a geothermal heating system.
