OLYMPIA — The Beacon Rock Trail has reopened after completing repairs to a bridge on the trail that was damaged by a rock slide in late January.
Beacon Rock is in Skamania County, 35 miles east of Vancouver. The mile-long trail was built between 1915 and 1918 on the core of an extinct volcano that overlooks the Columbia. It is a popular day hike, with views of the Columbia River gorge.
