REI opens net-zero distribution center

SEATTLE — Outdoors retailer REI said its newly opened 400,000-square-foot distribution center in Goodyear, Arizona, was designed to be net-zero energy and achieve a LEED platinum rating.

That would make it one of the most sustainable distribution centers in the world, according to the company.
