SEATTLE — King County is holding the first of four workshops about the WaterWorks Grant Program in Seattle on Friday, with others in Bellevue May 23 and Tukwila on May 24.
About $1.8 million is available for community-driven projects. In Seattle, workshops will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. at 201 S. Jackson St., Fourth Floor, on Friday and again on Monday, May 22. The Bellevue workshop is May 23, 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Northwest Art Center and the Tukwila workshop is May 24, 6 to 7:30 p.m., in Tukwila Community Center, Room A.
The grants range from $20,000 to $250,000. Letters of intent are due June 7. Projects can focus on water quality, pollution, improving watersheds, and education.
