City's sustainability boss trying to put himself out of business
The city is considering incentives, such as faster permits or project bonuses, for buildings that meet green standards.

Steve Nicholas' most fervent goal is to close up shop.
As director of Seattle's Office of Sustainability and Environment, Nicholas says quite simply, "My goal is to work the Office of Sustainability out of existence in 10 years."
