SEATTLE (AP) — If a gun is fired in Seattle, the police will see it — at least, that's the goal of the Seattle Police Department's gunshot-detection pilot program.
Seattlepi.com reports that the department is launching the program with a sound system that will allow police to hear the firing of guns in some neighborhoods, activate surveillance cameras and respond instantly.
