SEATTLE — Amazon said it will hold STEM summer camps in July and August for hundreds of students ages 9 to 14 that will focus on encouraging education and careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
A to Z Experience will be at Amazon's downtown Seattle headquarters and the robotics fulfillment center in Kent.
The company said in a press release that the students will be “Amazonians for the day.” They will tour Amazon's headquarters and brainstorm ideas, and visit the fulfillment center in Kent to build a robot.
The Seattle nonprofit Washington STEM will help develop the curriculum. Information is on the About Amazon website.
