Northwest ski areas fare poorly on environmental report

    Bogus Basin near Boise, Idaho, received an ‘A’ from the Ski Area Citizens’ Coalition in its environmental report card for Western ski areas. Mount Bachelor in Bend, Ore., was the only other Northwest ski area to earn a top grade.

    BOISE, Idaho — The famed Sun Valley resort received low marks on a report card grading ski areas for their impact on the environment, while rustic Bogus Basin near Boise ranked in the top 10 nationally.
