After Hours: Impressionists exhibit at SAM

“A Young Girl Reading” by Jean-Honoré Fragonard, ca. 1776, is one of the paintings on display at SAM downtown through Sept. 21.

“Inspiring Impressionism: The Impressionists and the Art of the Past” at the Seattle Art Museum sheds new light on one of art history's most important movements. The exhibition pairs masterpieces by Impressionists such as Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Édouard Manet, Pierre Auguste Renoir and Edgar Degas with those by artists Frans Hals, Francisco Goya and Jean-Honoré Fragonard.
