OLYMPIA (AP) — A little short on funds for a paid-media campaign, the Washington State Tourism Office is asking citizens to help by inviting friends and relatives to visit.
The “Share Your Washington” campaign that kicked off this week appeals to state residents to help maintain a tourism industry the agency says is responsible for nearly 150,000 jobs and $1 billion a year in tax revenue. “But we can't do it alone,” says the website, “and we need your help.”
